The certification procedures articulate a process whereby a person demonstrates compliance with these standards for professional competence. To receive the credential of certification is a professional acknowledgement that an individual has met the nationally recognized standards for competence in lay ecclesial ministry.

The Alliance expects that the certification process will launch in March 2012.
